An Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) is a service agreement between you and a water purifier service provider. In exchange for a fixed yearly fee, the provider takes responsibility for all scheduled servicing, filter replacements, and minor repairs. Here's how to evaluate if it's worth it.
What Does an AMC Typically Include?
- 2–4 scheduled service visits per year
- Replacement of sediment filter, carbon filter, and post-carbon filter
- Cleaning of the RO membrane
- Checking and adjusting water pressure
- Sanitisation of the storage tank
What is Usually Excluded?
Most AMC contracts exclude RO membrane replacement (unless it's a comprehensive plan), booster pump replacement, UV lamp, and SMPS adapter. Always read the fine print and ask specifically what is covered.
